To create a new clean skin and easy to use site that was easier to use, xhtml compliant and loaded quickly.
Challanges
Search. We ended up writing our own search tool for the site after being frustrated with core search. Our search uses both google in site and a custom SQL query to accomplish google suggest style search and a custom search results page.
Highlights
Using typekit for web safe non-standard fonts. Using jQuery for rotators, search suggest and oversized menus.
