Responsive Design at Charlotte DayOfDNN

Charlotte DayOfDNNThis year DayOfDNN is hosted in Charlotte, NC on June 2. Although the timing of the event isn't perfect for me since I've been on an extended vacation and now trying to catch up with things. But I've never been to Charlotte before so I'm looking forward to visiting.

I'm speaking this year on the responsive design topic. For thos of you who aren't familiar with it, it is a technique to create websites and web apps targeting various devices based on their resolution.

I look forward to meeting with old friends and making ones at this event. It'll be a great one! Just in case you're going, below is the description of my talk. See if you can make it and I'd love to chat more about it if you are interested in learning how.

Responsive CSS Frameworks

Smartphones have become a common device that everyone uses these days to access information while on the go. More and more people rely on this little device for both work and play. When visitors access your web properties on everything from desktop browsers to tablet devices to mobile phones, it’s important to deliver a good experience to each of those audiences without breaking your budget.

In this session, we will review responsive CSS frameworks, which allow websites to respond appropriately to the device without replying on specific device detection. That way you can deliver a great experience to all users regardless their screen size.

Please note: this session is intended for those with a understanding of DotNetNuke skinning fundamentals.
